a hero of our time

two london shows 22nd & 23rd May

HUNCHtheatre are delighted to announce the return of our critically acclaimed adaptation of Lermontov's nineteenth century classic 'A Hero of Our Time', listed as one of the best shows of 2018 by BroadwayWorld. To celebrate HUNCHtheatre's one year anniversary we will return to the five star Karma Sanctum Hotel in Soho for ONLY 2 LONDON SHOWS on 22nd and 23rd May prior to our international tour of Russia and Germany. If you missed what audiences and critics were raving about last year this is the perfect chance to see what all the fuss is about. And if you caught us on our travels last year we have some new tricks up our sleeves and a new cast!

Pechorin, a resting soldier, amuses himself in a dull spa town by competing with his friend Grushnitsky over the young princess Mary. This escalates from a fun game into all out war. We invite you into the mind of a soldier, seeing how the background of war filters into personal relationships, turning bars and ballrooms into battlefields.

So come and celebrate with us in our underground lounge in Soho and check out this 'sugar rush of intrigue and excitement' (Scotsman), this 'frisking entertaining' (Telegraph) 'blistering feat of storytelling' (The Stage).
